Some 94% to 99% of men who experience domestic violence are victims of financial abuse, sometimes called economic abuse. Economic abuse is frequently found within intimate partner violence, involving controlling money and finances, and things money can buy, for the partner or former partner. AH offers 3 months internship on few important aspects of abused males.
Abuse Management
There is a common misconception that men cannot be victims of society’s ingrained abusive relationships because of the rhetoric of charities and organisations seeking to stop violence against women.
Social Management
The series provides insight into how men are often socialized to accept emotional and physical abuse and pain – absorb it – and how it prepares them to transmit that abuse. AH deals with social management to reduce male being abused.
Emotional Loss
Abusive relationships can take the form of physical, emotional, verbal or sexual abuse. In many forms, whether the victim was subjected to mind-controlling behavior, sexual assault, or physical abuse.
